I have my own website. I utilize Telkom 512 ADSL with M-Web as ISP, but website is hosted by a 3rd party. Can upload 50Kb file to website but 100Kb file fail to upload. Have 2nd PC at my location from which 100Kb file upload also fails. Upload from different location which also has Telkom ADSL and M-Web as ISP also fails. Upload from 2 other locations which uses broadband access other than Telkom en ISP other than M-Web works fine. Telkom refers problem to M-Web and M-Web say that problem is with Telkom. Website host say all is fine on their side.

Please advise.

What App are you using to upload ?
What is the error generated by this app when trying the larger file ?

Website was compiled with its own admin interface which allow me to upload files into categories created by myself in same interface, and set certain display names, etc. for each seperate upload.

After submitting request on interface mentioned above, the normal IE progress bar at the bottem of the screen runs EVERYTIME till it reaches exactly 5 of those little green blocks, then hangs for a while (maybe 3 to 4 minutes) and then bombs out to the usual IE "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" page.

Have now tried the same at two different locations than my own, about 2km and 5km respectively away from my location, both sites utilize Telkom ADSL with M-Web as ISP, exact same error at both those sites. Works fine at another site with wireless ADSL (not Telkom) and other ISP (not M-Web).
Hope to find a site nearby (I'm situated in Paarl, Western Cape) which also utilizes Telkom ADSL but another ISP (not M-Web), maybe eliminating M-Web as possible source of problem.

>> lol I use this to upload stuff... it's a excellent site to upload stuff to ...
The files I upload is not actually files in general I wish to share, or just be able to be downloadable fot others. It is files that forms part of my webpage.

>> Check another thread here somewhere - its Telkom (as always).
In my case I have no problem with linespeed. During all the tests being conducted over some time I have had a constant download speed of 400 Kbs and upload speed of 200 Kbs, but with packet loss of between 0.2% and 4%.

its Telkom (as always).

Packet loss is the enemy. It seeks refuge within the stretches of Telkom's poor copper cable. It waits for your data (the good guys) to pass through the cable, where it attacks, rendering your forces (the data - the good guys remember) dazed and confused. They quickly run for cover out of desperation, suffering minor to medium casualties. However brave and strong your forces (the data ;)) are, they are still a few soldiers short of a platoon, which makes them out numbered (incomplete) and unable to make a safe journey to base camp (your web host). Try sending you forces (the data) through a safer path (better line) where these little monsters (packet loss - the bad guys) have less chance of launching an ambush (corrupting/losing data).

Can this be achieved by still utilizing my current Telkom ADSL line, or do you mean by obtaining another ADSL (wireless) provider such as I-Burst, 24-7online, or one of those burks? I am under a 24 month ADSL contract with Telkom, of which I still got 12 months left!
