A 35mm film frame, with proper exposure and processing, still offers an equivalent resolution in the range of 500 mega pixels.
Basically bull****.

Yeah right... film's resolution is very high, same story as with analog recordings that can far exceed the CD standard (16 bits @ 44.1kHz).
One could very easily get several hundred megapixels out of a 35mm frame, if you had a scanner that has that resolution, it will work

I'm willing to bet that of your current lenses only the Sigma will fit a Canon SLR - the 18-55 and 18-135 are both EF-S iirc. A cheap 50mm f/1.8 (which should be in everyone's bag anyway) would do a great job though.

You want to get artsy and do black and white? Nik Silver Efx Pro is your answer. ;)

I absolutely second that, Silver Efx Pro is the best program I have used to far for black and white. I simply love it. I must say for colour work Viveza 2 is also pretty impressive.

Let's not start the film vs digital debate again please. Why not simply enjoy film for what it is and that is a different medium to take photos with. Something that gives you a different look and feel to digital cameras.
