Just curious on the below :

I settled my previous Audi around 12th December. I requested a final settlement letter on that date which was sent through to me, and forwarded to the the dealership where I was buying another vehicle. They settled and closed the Audi account; and I took delivery of my new car a day or two later..

I requested if I could start my installment end January and therefore skip an installment - but I've just been debited for my old car 2 weeks after the settlement.

Surely this isn't right?
What would have happened had I note requested the January date - a debit for the old and new car in one month?

Probably just a delay in having it cancelled.

And yes they would have debited both as the one really has nothing to do with the other.

Should be a simple query as reverse.

Phoned today ... still not cancelled. As it stands, they'll debit in January as well.

New dealership is trying to understand why and what happened. Sigh.

My luck
