Ok so ive been looking at computer components for the last few months and this is pretty much what i have come up with for my budget.

Processor: Q6600
Cooler: Thermalright Ultima 90
http://www.zaps.co.za/?pid=2080
Mobo: Asus P5K

Ram: well this is still up for debate either(2gb)(Prefer the OCZ)
OCZ ddr2 800 platinum
Mushkin DDR2-800 2GB (2 * 1GB Sticks) Kit CL4

PSU: One of these although i like the Aerocool
Aerocool ZeroDBA 620W(modular)
Coolermaster extrempower 650W

Hard drive:WD 320gb 16mb cache SATA

Optical
Havent decided quite yet. Prob Asus SATA drive(DVD writer)

Case:Cooler master 690

Graphics card: Still need to wait a month or so before i decide.(prob a 8800GT)

Ok so thoughts everyone? Recommendations?

i have the Asus P5K as well. great, great motherboard. me have Aerocool ExtremeEngine3T box and coolermaster 550w PSU.

Originally i also wanted the aeroCOOL case. Lol. But it would be a close fit with the original aftermarket cooler that i wanted(Thermalright U Extreme 120), so then i switched to the Ultima(which is shorter) and then the cooler master 690 came out. :D
So its been quite a mission so far.

but at least now you're sorted ;)

Are those links where you will be buying them?

Someone on PCB is selling the WD 320Gb for R550 if you didn't see that.

The RAM is a great deal, but if you checked some reviews they do say its pretty bad OC'ing ram, but especially good on standard speeds. For me that would be fine.

Thanks EHV...but Slick is exactly the guy i will be irritating for my HD. Awesome price.
Are you referring to both sets of ram or just the mushkins? The OCZ can easily be pushed to 1100 from what i understand.Or there abouts.

Oh and the links are some of the better priced ones. Pcint will prob be one of my shopping grounds but i will be looking for and try to get better prices from the guys.

Oh ja, of course, you posted on that thread. :p

I meant the OCZ, there are one or two reviews on it, and the OC'ing didnt go well at all. You'll still get something out of it and it is CL4 so you've got headroom. Imo its so cheap for quality RAM that this shouldn't matter.

Well i dont know then PCformat reviewed these in this months issue and seemed to think they were good? What else do you recommend then? Crucials?
