Okay, I know I have made a few threads, but I FINALLY managed to get some clarity.

I signed up on the 17th of August 2011 and received my bill today. So this is as follows:

1) I will be debited on the 31st of September 2011.

2) R400 was charged for Sim and Connection, R200 will be credited back because they charged for 2 sim cards. it was a duplicate order and they cancelled the duplicate account.

3) R145. for Midnight Surfer, this would be for 2 months (August + September).

4) R289. for Daytime bundle, this would also be for 2 months (August + September).

My bill came out to R634 Including Sim and connection (R843 with overcharged Sim and connection).

Is this correct? I had to do all the calculations because the bill is so vague it's crazy. But am I supposed to be charged pro-rata (August) and monthly fee (September)?

It's correct, first bill from telkom is always pro-rata + 1 month subs.. the credit process is usually fairly quick.. if you have a credit, the refund process usually works, just have ur dates in order.. work through a Telkom shop, I used to get credits for no service.. Just be patient.

Thanks, sly. The only issue I had was basically the surcharged R200 for a dud account (a mistake on their side). As I said earlier the bill is very vague, so it's kind of hard to calculate what's going on if you are not used to the way different companies charge.

Happens all the time when they launching new products, their system doesn't do any validation captured data.... The billing system just allocates the cost on each line item. Simple logicFor a new contract sim connect fee(SIM001 can't be >1), unless they using account number as a unique identifier not the tel number. #datajunkie #justsaying
