So after reading the thread:
How many people run SSDs
I felt I need your guys input for my final upgrade on my machine.

So I'm doing my final upgrade of my machine before I start saving for my new place.
So my current rig:
Asus Rampage 3 Extreme
i7 - 920 @ 2.8 (will OC once my 580 comes on Tuesday)
6 Gigs - Corsair Dominator GT 2000mhz (set @ 1600 )
GTX 260 (as mentioned my EVGA GTX 580 DS Superclock is arriving on Monday)
Western Digital Caviar Black Sata 3 - 2TB
Corsair TX850W (was gonna get the HX1000W for custom sleeves but it will have to wait)
27" PH2770H Samsung monitor / 19" LG LCD (second monitor used for design & chat windows)

Main use for the PC currently - Gaming: BC2 / Guild Wars / Borderlands (just started it up with 3 other friends) - will be playing BF3 & GW2 when it comes next year
I'm a designer and use my second screen a lot when I design.

So my final upgrade I see two options:
(option 1)
Second 27" Samsung if I can find the same model as I see it has been replaced with a newer model?
Another 6 gigs of Ram (getting this as I'm doing a 3D modeling course next year)
Zonar DX2 - Just want awesome sound esp for BF3 / GW2 I'm sure will still sound hot ^^
(option 2)
OCZ Vertex 3 120gig ( will only have OS + BF3 / GW2 on it nothing else)
Ram
Sound Card

I'm between the monitor and the SSD, I really can't complain about my load times on my machine.
I find the 19" small and frustrating at times but it really aint that BAD - the monitor I work with @ work is also a 27" so I don't see it as a BIG monitor anymore and just looks like a normal monitor to me. I normally have Photoshpo/Dreamweaver/Illustrator/Soundbooth/After Effects ect ect paired so one gets it own screen. I like the idea of it all been on the same level instead of having to look up and down all the time between the monitors.

Now I can't put down the SSD and really can't talk about the SSD as mentioned in that thread(Blackberry to iPhone).

Basically I'm not worried about the price, this is my final upgrade for my machine and wont be looking @ upgrading till I'm settled in my new place and back on my feet. I don't want to have that feeling of: Meh should have gotten that instead ....

Let me know what you guys think

Get the monitor dude, ssd is great but so is a big monitor. If i have a choice i would choose a big ass monitor over a ssd.

If you're doing graphics design for a living, then it would most definitely be worth while to get an IPS panel, and not some TN panel junk like that Samsung P2770H, because colour accuracy is everything.
However, if you're not really going to do any designs on your home PC, then spending R7k on a screen might be too much.

I feel that SSD's are a luxury for a gaming PC, but necessary for most workstations.
