He said he advertised it, and got more than he advertised it for. That's inferring that he sold it. He should makes his point clear next time.

Damn straight. Especially given the context of the post he quoted when he stated this. Basically deceitful.

Was an insurance claim. They offered him R20k and he claims after fighting them he got more than the asking R95k price. Must say, I highly doubt that.

Not a frikken chance. Insurers do NOT pay out for mods to a car - in fact, they can refute claims because of speed modifications to an insured vehicle.

Unless Saturn Z can provide proof, I am calling him a liar.

And after that are you going to call the Pope a catholic?

getting more for than what I advertised the car for does not necessarily mean I sold the car for more than what I advertised it for

I have stated in a previous thread I received a settlement, Pitbull has confirmed that that's what I said and now people want to argue I have said something different?

reminds me of that blue and red observation that I posted earlier in this thread

oh yeah I'm guilty and must prove my innocence, that's going to go well...

even insurance companies have to play by the law, insurance has to pay out for damages, who said anything about mods? see how you created your own facts?

thought I just update the status of this car since so many people made simply false statements in this thread which I didn't bother defending

I bought this car in 2010 with the turbo modifications for R65 000. I spent no money modifying this car.

In 2014 the car was in an accident, I received R84 000 in damages and sold the wreck for R30 000 thus receiving a total of R114 000 for the car and I still kept my F28 six speed gearbox.

There was a letter sormhwere and if I remember correctly it had the amount in it.

Your post from back then said it had mods.. lol

Also if he got paid out for a write off the insurance company will take ownership of the wreck...

the car wasn't written off, in their opinion it was written off, I "proved" them wrong, they then paid for the damages (the middle quote of the three quotes I received)

Except if the damage exceeds the book value it would be written off, this wasn't a Ferrari GTO, it was an Opel POS.

What was the book value at the time of the accident?

Obviously R20k, what they offered. Quite generous as it is.

uhmmmm, what has book value got to do with anything, I'm entitled to the replacement value of the vehicle if they wish to write it off...

the problem is, even if I show the insurance letter payout, that won't be believed, with more and more accusations and requests for evidence

and yet it is expected of me to provide evidence

Do we need to pat you on the head again and go warm up some milk for you?

When you insure a car plus extras the broker will quote you a price. No more, no less. There isn't any negotiation after the fact. You can't insure for R20k and claim for R100k. Good brokers will contact you annually and reduce the cover based on the book value, which is what they pay out.

what on earth are you talking about, this was a 3rd party claim, I did not claim from my insurer

you want to try again?

we can argue for another 10 pages, or put down R10k

you want to bet on it? I can give you the claim number and you can try and figure it out...

once again, R10 000

Send us your lawyers details and our lawyers will be I touch to hold money in trust...

Mmm, sure I read that you were offered R20k. Was that from the third party insurance?

Did you have insurance?
