After 3 attempts, finally managed to buy a new, bigger house for the family.

Currently with Vuma in Bonaero Park but Vuma is all around and not in my new street. Openserve and TT Connect are there but I wound not touch TT with a 10 foot pole.

Previous owner was OS/Mweb which they have just cancelled. Can I put in a new order while theirs is still under cancellation? Looking to go 500/250 with OS/CI. Really want to put an order in and try have install done even if we are not in yet. Time frames are all super close.

I know we are getting real close to the December freeze and we are not sure if we will move in December or Jan but need the net in ASAP as wife works from home.

Advice? Cancel and order new? Or try relocate?

Thanks!

We can give you an account to use whilst you wait for the cancellation? Or we can probably activate a 2nd port on the ONT?

So I had a chat to them and they are moving out on the 3rd of December regardless of registration. Their cancellation only goes through on the 31st of December.

So suggestions? Place an order and get an account to use while waiting on the cancellation? Or place an order with a 2nd port on the ONT and when cancellation happens the first port goes inactive?

Well either or, what speed is the line currently? If its what you need then we can arrange you an account. That way saving you some money.

Current is an OpenServe 250 Down / 125 Up.
Looks like the move might happen in the first week of December now as registration seems to be flying along.
I will happily use 250/125 if you can assist with an account
But then should I still place an order for a new line and account for the 500/250?

Sure just PM me at the time and will give you a test account, they only last a week at a time but can just update you with the details.

But yes then still apply for when the line will be released.

Ok thanks! Is there a way to pre-order for a specific date?
Ill place the order on the Cool Ideas site with my existing account and just cancel Vuma so that it cancels for end December.

Thanks again!

Can vouch for Cool Ideas. No hassles, decent support.

Installation happens pretty quick. I have moved a couple of times and it has always been done on time. Launch a new installation with Cool Ideas, someone will contact you, and then you just give the date they must come install. The fibre contactor will get in touch with you to confirm the date with you. Once they installed you just inform cool ideas to make sure the line is activated. They will only bill you once the line is activated.

That's how it worked the last two times I moved.

Yeah I am with them right now its just the existing installation at the new place presents some challenges.
@PBCool I am going to place a new order on the portal and will send you the details. Move is definitely happening the 3rd of December. Going to process my cancellation for Vuma now as well.

@PBCool placed a new order on the Coolzone portal and cancelled Vuma - screw it, can't take chances. Order number PMd to you. Thanks for the help!
@PBCool shame the person handling this order for me is going to have a long story to deal with, they replied with their standard steps for a new order, picked up there is an ONT there already, asked a bunch of questions, I have sent a bunch of replies, and RICA is going to be fun as I don't have proof of address for my new house I am not even in yet :)

Just mention you are buying the place and don't have the deed as yet. This isn't the first time this has happened, let me know if you get stuck.

@PBCool they called me and said I can upload the OTP so all is good. Took days to get the B Number from very untechnical people but finally got it and they said they can take it over when the line and ISP cancels on December 31st.

Previous owners are going to be nice enough to let us use their account details until the 31st, its only from Jan 1 that its going to be.... tricky.
