Financial Adviser - Any advice?

Good Day to every one

I was recently approached by a recruitment company who wants to recruit me for a financial adviser position at a company who's name I don't know yet. I'm currently working at a bank as a consultant with a annual income of +-R150 000.

Now my question is in 3 three parts....

1. Is there anyone here who has started their life in this position or is currently working in that position? Is it as rewarding as they say it is? What are some of the things you have experienced? (I don't know to much about the job)

2. Do you think my salary will be matched without commission? Is it as easy to get commission as they say it is?

3. The most important thing for is.... is there growth? If I become a financial adviser can I grow from it or is my only option to become a senior financial adviser?

Lots of people with financial advise on this forum, but not many financial advisors as far as I know.

Hope you get a response.
 
You'll stay a financial adviser for the rest of your life, but depending on your clients etc, you can make a fortune.

My old adviser was a mid 40 year old woman, lived in Fourways, drove a BMW X5.
Earning potential seems quite big.

Sounds like a sales position. So to answer your question: Big sales skill = High rewards. Some people here at my employer who are just out of school at around 19 - 22 taking home around R 40k a month (Insurance sales). However it's not as easy as they make it look. It's a dog eat dog world man. You either sell or you drown.
 
Jip the senior advisors doearn a lot but with me having a family i cant risk working straight cimmision. Btw i found out its for liberty
 
Don't take the job. It's cutthroat and you will be lying and deceiving clients to part with their money for commission.
You might as well become a lawyer
