Hi guys,

Have a car from 2017 but it's missing a spec of two :p Have seen another with much better specs. Same year and would probably hold me off for the next 10 years until I possibly have kids. Financially I might not be that worse off but curious if anyone done anything similar or if I am just being larney :p

Not sure what you are asking here exactly.. you also haven't said whether you are still paying for the current car, if you are debt free on it and will be keeping it etc etc..

Don't do it.

I drive a 2007 Toyota Corolla, I can afford & want a 2020 Audi A7

A car is not worth the money, even if you drive in it every day - just make sure it's decent (not costing you money cause it keeps breaking, and then upgrade the sound so you can enjoy music on your commute.)

Still paying for it. Had it for 2 years, will pay less for the new car for 3-6 months more.
Will be keeping the car after all this long term

Nah, upgrading for more comfort. Car actually saves me money :p
Well not during Corona but overall it's been a saving for me, more so over my last one.

Just don't fck yourself with a car.

If you want to spend some money on the comfort, I understand, but maybe spend 30% of that instead on something you spend more time on like upgrade your braai or redo the kitchen.

If every other aspect of your life is on a good level, THEN sure go spend money on the car for more comfort.

(Just want to discourage you from spending money on an item that does not add value and stuff in SA is about to get VERY bad, we are in a weird phase now where we see the place is burning down, but reality hasn't set in it.)

If money aint the issue... go big!

Someone once told me, if I want to work and show nothing... buy a new car every 3 to 4 years! And its a fact

Cars lose value.... on every km

More variables required.

You haven’t mentioned the car to start with or the feature difference.

More importantly you haven’t mentioned the cost.
