So we had a nasty little end of 2011 . On the 31/12/2011 whilst out at Southgate Mall, in Jhb - my 2 phones and wallet went awol.
I only discovered this after about an hour after I was at home. I fired up find my iphone - and I had an old location that was across the road from the Jhb Prison in Naturena - the okes stopped off at the local tavern and had a hearty drink session courtesy of the funds provided in my wallet.
The phone was powered off and I was unable to locate it.
So I did the very next thing I could do - visited the local cop station and reported the entire matter.
I also requested the phone locked/wiped and I sent a message - in no particular order.
So today - I receive an update that the message was delivered, the phone locked and another the phone wiped.
The best part of all it managed to travel from here to Mozambique - best part is - it's close to 2-3 law enforcement offices in Moazambique - see the map :
Fun indeed - I've had it blocked and blacklisted locally - for insurance purposes - but lotsa good that does - when it's in a different part of the world.
So I thought I would share my little ol story. More to come- on my service providers inability to - do a successful sim swop - I am still without my 8ta number now since the 31st of Dec. Oh well another story for another day.
