Erm' I would go buy a biker leather jacket as they are made for that purpose. Stitching & stuff is better. Can also look at those synthetic ones dual sport guys use. It's not a fashion accessory.

Just investigating my options, been reading up, and if you can find a suitably made leather jacket it can work.

Will probably get a proper riding jacket (waterproof, not so hot, actual internal protection, etc), but also want a leather jacket for everyday wear, so this thread will help me either way.
