How do you find a tracking unit in your car if you don't know who the installer was?
That is if one is installed.

Car is a year old and the battery was completely dead this morning. Battery tests 100% healthy.
All I can think is parasitic draw from a tracker.

Where do you live?
I took mine to "A to Z Electronics" in Alberton and they were able to find and remove the tracking unit, solving my battery drain problem.
Just check with your insurance company first whether the tracking unit is still required or not....

Centurion unfortunately.

Take it to the dealer
Almost all batteries these days, expecially OEM ones have in excess of 12mth warranty
The dealer will have contacts at the tracking installer

They will get back to me about this. Their person that deals with trackers is only back on Monday.

They did collect the car from me and took it in to test the battery and everything checked out 100%. SOH and charge shows 100% on the report.

Funny thing was my battery charger didn't want to charge the battery and my multimeter showed 0.05v when I tested it. Multimeter is 100% working. Tested against another battery.

The tracking companies have some sort of device that beeps as it gets close to the tracker. A friend of mine got hijacked by a group of guys who had one. Not sure if it can find the unit when it isn't activated, assume they wait for it to activate and then locate it.

2021 Kia Sportage
On those cars they tend to place it in the same place
Find out from fellow sportage drivers where they found theirs, it will very likely be in the same place
or look for wires that are not original to the car, the black masking tape will look different to the original style of wrapping

Thanks... but I'm not about to go digging behind panels and pulling wires out.

On my old car the Tracker unit was installed under the steering column, but they also installed a backup unit that was under the plastic covering on the tailgate with a separate battery attached. I found it because they didn't secure it very well and it started rattling.
