Hi all,

What is the best way to determine which exchanges are in a specific area. The only site I know of is: http://www.broadbandstats.co.za/

How accurate and up to date is that site?

I am planning on moving to a new house soon but because I work from home, being close to an adsl exchange is critical.

I dont understand all the technical details, but I know you get exchanges, DSLAM's, MSAN's, etc. What is the best way to find out what is available in a specific area.

Many thanks.

How close is close?

I would ask your future neighbours for their land line numbers then put it here to see which exchange they use.

Currently im only in the early stages of looking into which areas to move to so there wont be any way to get a phone number. Basically im just looking to get a reasonably accurate representation of where the relevant exchanges are so that I can rule out certain areas if nothing is close.
