Finding out laptop Optical Drive Height

I want to move my laptop optical drive (Dell 14z) to an external caddy. External caddies fit standard heights of 9.5mm or 12.7mm according to http://www.newmodeus.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=12

Product support just lists the part as "Toshiba Samsung Storage Technology". How do I work out which caddy I need without disassembling my laptop (yet)?

If you have the caddy and wish to test it out... You should be able to remove the drive by removing a single screw?

Haven't bought the caddy yet - I'm trying to avoid buying two instead of one by doing a bit of research.. At this stage I'm looking to buy one locally, I see there's been one advertised on BidOrBuy recently and it was cheap. The specs were not entirely clear though.

Remove the drive and measure it? It's usually just one or two screws to release the drive and pull it out.

EDIT: A quick google seems to indicate it's 9.5mm drive but don't take my word for it, do some googling.

Your google-fu is better than mine! I eventually undid the two screws and measured it, and it is 9.5mm. The laptop is an n411z, for the record (there are several 14z models). Thanks!
