Fingerprint security systems - The dangers

Research by Kaspersky has found a number of issues with biometric security which could have negatively affected the confidentiality and integrity of fingerprint recognition systems.

This is due to the prevalence of malware used to attack biometric processing systems, which have been proven to have significant shortcomings.

Finger should be used to identify/replace username, not as a password. You can't really change your fingerprint whenever you want to, though e.g. people who do labor don't have "consistent" fingerprints as they get cuts and stuff.
Same thing for facial recognition, I don't like this attempt at people thinking it's a great idea to use it to e.g. authorize access to your bank account.

I'm only okay with it on my phone for banking because I know if I lost it I can wipe the phone remotely as banking needs internet access. The fingerprint is more for ease of access than anything else.
