I have a job and have to use firefox. It says the plug in box for firefox has stopped working so firefox shuts down. Please help. I am desperate.

OK when you uninstall Firefox, there are several places you have to check that all the files are removed.

1) In the Program Files Folder (or Program Files (x86)) if you are using 64 bit Windows. Look for the Mozilla Firefox folder and delete all of it.
2) In the Users folder, Look under your name, then under AppData/Roaming
3) In the Users folder, Look under your name, then under AppData/Local

If there is anything there for Mozilla/Firefox then delete those folders as well.

When that is all removed, then re-install Firefox.

you can also start firefox from the command line with the -p option initially and set up a new profile instead of hunting everywhere for the default profile.
