So I was blessed with an Amazon HD 8 tablet courtesy of Mybroadband...great little device

So far it's been great but I simply cannot get the Audible app to display my library of books

I signed up for an Amazon account many moons ago but when I signed up for Audible I didn't notice that I was on the Aussie store and did a few purchases. After a billing issue I only then discovered the issue. But on the Android app you simply logout, then log back in to the correct store and you're sorted.

The Fire tablet, not so simple. Audible is more part of the OS so no individual app. You can't just logout. On the device side I've changed my region to Australia and synced everything up but no matter what I do nothing works.

I've been in touch with Amazon and they've referred me to Audible specifically but the only option is to get assistance telephonically through Audible.

I'm at my wits end and come to the Mybroadband forum to ask the tech gurus here if they have any suggestions. Any ideas?

They have email support as well..

Amazon do, but Audible don't seem to. The chat and email options are greyed out with only Call available

I've emailed the US Amazon guys, awaiting their response. The issue is I'm going in circles between Amazon and Audible in both regions.

I've been told that Amazon needs to make the Aus store my default, just hope it doesn't effect my Kindle books which are on the US side. You'd think they'd have better integration between the regions being an Amazon device and an easier way to switch between them

Still waiting for Amazon US to respond

In the meantime I sideloaded the Playstore for all the Google apps. Thought I'd be able to load the Audible app that way but it's not allowing it as it's clashing with the preinstalled one.

At least I've got the actual YouTube app as the fong kong version on the Amazon store really sucked.

But I'll persist with Amazon support. Still think it's strange that an Amazon device would have this issue with it's own services. Surely it can't be that uncommon for Bruce and Sheila to emigrate to the US with their Aussie account and then carry on through the US sites. A simple button to switch regions on demand can't be that difficult
