How much would you expect to pay for the brake discs or a 2007 blade? Honda quoted me about R3600 for one and I've got 2 potential front discs that need replacing. That seems horridly expensive.

You can call World of Accessories (011 791 1726) or Full Throttle (011 431 1927).
They should be able to give you an idea.

Last time I had to replace the back 2 back pads - R 890.00 excl VAT.

That was 3 years ago.

Sounds about right... Honda parts are pretty expensive on their motorcycles.... And Kawasaki part prices are even worse.
Whats wrong with your disks that they are kaput on a 2007 blade ?? Seems pretty early to replace disks unless you were riding with fubar brake pads and damaged the disks.

The race1 distributors bring in Brembo products, so you might be able to get some aftermarket disks from them, but not sure if its going to be cheaper, since these are high performance aftermarket racing accessories.

If thats the case, I am pretty sure a decent engineering company should be able to help you and try fix it successfully... I know here in CT we have a company by the name of Link engineering (Salt River) ... Many bike shops wont admit it, but they send most of their parts to these guys that most places would not even dare look at. I think the owner is a biking enthusiast so he tends to try and help where possible.

They even fix bent triple clamps, damaged disks, forks, bent frames etc.

I would not fsk around with brakes on a superbike ... but maybe that's just me ;)

So naughty me has been riding around with these discs until now, but decided it's been a long enough gamble. If anyone knows of a place that straightens discs out in JHB, leave the details here. I'm still not happy forking out so much so I've found parts and spares over gumtree as a last resort.
