At least the problems I was having in organising bookmarks seems to be a thing of the past. Could never move them around or delete them without first closing the Bookmarks manager and reopening it to see the changes.

Firefox 2004? A bit late isnt it?

EDIT - 2.0.0.4 . . . :)

Lost S03E15 rocks

Yeah - apart from being native it has one feature that none of the others seem to have adopted - the first 9 bookmarks in the bar can be activated by pressing ⌘+ 1 to 9 :)

EDIT - camino is my second choice.

I would use safari if I can get an adblocker like adblock+ for it. I hate ads especially News24. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than KILLING any outsurance ad - so is there anything available?

I use pithHelmet.

One thing I don't like about Firefox 2 , is the close button on the tabs. Before you just needed to click repeatedly in one place (at the right of the tab bar) to close a series of tabs, now you have to chase the tabs round the screen with your mouse as you close them.

Another thing, control-click opens a tab and takes me to it, even though I have specified in options to open tabs in the background. Now I have to right click and choose open in new tab from a dropdown menu. Only way to open tabs in the background. Royal pain in the butt.

Does anyone know a way to go back to previous methods of tabbed browsing?

Aaah - found it. Type about:config in the address bar. Filter for 'close'.
Double click 'browser.tabs.closeButtons' and insert 3 in the value field. The close button is now at the right of the tab bar.

Hey! Many thanks! That's the way I like it.

Also found that clicking the mouse wheel on a link opens a tab in the background which is even more convenient than control-click.
