I'm using Firefox 3 RC2 in Vista 64bit and certain websites scroll pretty slowly. It feels like there's "scroll lag". Is anyone else having this issue? I've searched around on the net for related topics, and it seems that its a bug that has been logged (no fix yet?). Some 3rd party fixes are available, but these all relate to Ubuntu and Fedora. I've tested this using Server 2008 as well and got the same results; not sure about XP.

The issue existed in Firefox 3 RC1 and Beta 5 as well. Firefox 2 works fine.

Has anyone else got this issue with a Windows-based OS? If so, any suggestions/ recommendations for a 3rd party fix for it?

Have not come across this yet... I always used to get the click twice and then the entire scroll bar would shoot to the bottom.... never figured that one out yet.... but just wanted to ask if you had any extensions installed? ... since those sometimes cause Firefox to freeze up for a few seconds... like Foxmarks (the bookmark synchronizer) causes FF to freeze up for a few secs while it updates your bookmarks.

I use NoScript and DownloadHelper. I've tried running FF3 with those disabled but the scroll lag persisted.

hhmm, have you googled it? Or checked the FF support forums? We might have to wait for FF3 Official to be released and then see if that fixes it. Going to be any day now.

Yeah I've browsed around but have come up short so far. Guess I'll just have to wait until the final release and hopefully all will be good there!

The FF3 new features and resource efficiency far outweight the scroll lag issue though! So I'm not going back to FF2.
