My firefox (version 2) crashes whenever a windows media video or sound clip tries to play within the browser :( i cant listen to radio over the net now.
this has been happening for ages... i've just been too lazy to ask for help, until now. Could it be a codec problem or something?

i had to download a number of codecs for me to view videos on certain sites, on this was on sites that i used *cough* IE without any problem

A plugin I just discovered hehe

I had a similar problem so now instead of using a embedded player I use the MediaPlayerConnectivity.Plugin which allows you to assign which player handles which format eg. I have VideoLan handling WMV coz sometimes it just sucks when trying to connect :D
So once the video window appears [should be black with a icon at the center] simply click it to launch the player assigned to the desired format.

Let us know if it solves the problem. ;)

Yuu

i gave on firefox 2.0 reverted back 1.507

what used to happen is i would click FF then nothing would happen, i would ctrl alt del kill firefox.exe still FF would not load

reboot worked fine

uninstalled for earlier version

Well, I've got none of those problems with IE7. :)

I downloaded WMP11 & IE7, decided that it looks to modern for Windows XP and promptly downloaded Vista Transformation Pack 5.5 - now I can't wait to switch on my 'Vista' PC - looks absolutely fantastic.

*Guess I can wait for Vista SP1 before I buy it...

I did the VTP 5.5 thing about a week back. This is how I'll be staying until I finally get it in my head to switch to Linux as my primary OS. Looks fantastic, is as stable as they come (XP), and runs fast.

Of course, if somebody found it in their heart to gift me a MacBook, I'd be in PC heaven...

Linux is for people who still feel cheated by Windows 3.1, but I wouldn't mind getting a Mac.

I can't stop laughing at the ads on Apple's web site, poking fun at Microsoft. I've downloaded all of them.... :)
