Why is it that for some reason when visiting an FTP site Firefox displays it all nicely in a format where you can sort files via "Last Updated" etc, yet other times it simply lists them as if you're viewing a text document? It seems to randomly swap and change between the two. Anywhere I can change this? Thanks! :D

I think it has to do with the FTP site. I am guessing. I think it has to do with whether the FTP site can serve up its contents formatted for HTTP. look for an .html file in the directory.

Lydon, I think its a new feature in Firefox 3. ftp://ftp.saix.net/ for example doesn't have any .html files in the directory. The only reason that I can think why sometimes an ftp directory is being viewed like a text document may be because you're viewing that dir using an older version of firefox?

It happens with Firefox 3. Sometimes when I'm viewing ftp.agasa.co.za it's in the html format and other times in the text format. It's so strange!
