Any suggestions?

Some examples, While typing the text I am busy typing out stops appearing for a few seconds then all comes out almost at once.

When using mouse wheel to scroll it "stops" randomly then suddenly catches up all the wheel movements in one go.

Pretty irritating.

There was a recent update to Firefox in Ubuntu (give that a try) but I have found Chrome to be a much better option in Ubuntu....

The issue is with Firefox... get that a lot with FF running on Android.

Always went with "if it aint broke don't fix it" when it comes to browsers but as I have been using Chrome on my android for a while now (actually uninstalled firefox) and as firefox is giving me more irritations recently I guess it is time for a switch.

Sorry Firefox, you have been good to me these past many years.

Haha reached that point a few weeks ago....

Chrome feels a little retro but I guess I'll get used to it :)

At least nothing is hanging.

Unfortunately I have to stick with Firefox. Chrome doesn't allow me to specify an ignore list when using a proxy server, which for some reason really messes with everything at certain clients.

Unless I am missing something... please tell me I am missing something :D

I approve of Chrome after the last few hours.

Not sticky (whatever was causing that issue in FF was driving me nuts).

Ignore list? What do you mean? Are your talking about the exception list?

You can install extensions for this. Look at FoxyProxy http://getfoxyproxy.org/downloads.html

Yes, my apologies. I need to specify an entire range to ignore, but I don't find that anywhere. The way the proxy is setup at one client in particular blocks access to my servers when routing to the proxy. Works perfect in FF where I can add the range to the exceptions list.

You can either use DrJohnZoidberg suggestion or Chrome uses IE's settings. Just add it in the exception list there when you use a proxy server.

Using Ubuntu so no IE. Trying out FoxyProxy now to see if it sorts the issue. Thanks guys.

Uninstall AdBlock Plus immediately if you have upgraded to the latest version of FireFox.

That was the culprit for my woes!

No thanks, rather go to Chrome.

Spent a few hours with ads today but can't handle it.
