Damn I thought they fixed the memory leakage issues with Firefox 2...seems not. How much RAM does your Firefox take up? After a bit of tabbed browsing mines eating about 130MB....

Yea i regularly have firefox using 150mb+ right now its sitting on 180mb :(

Try working in about 4 or 5 tabs for a while, close the tabs and then check.

I dont use the multiple tabs thingy, could that be the reason?
I still use seperate sessions.

Yip mine too gets up near the 200MB mark...where the heck do you complain?? Time to air my views on the Firefox forums..

EDIT. Yeah JK8 tabbed browsing is pretty much the main culprit.

With Firefox 2.0.1 my memory usage was regularly 250-350MB. But with the latest update 2.0.0.2 the maximum committed RAM is about 150MB. I have about 10 tabs open the whole day.

Thats still too much isn't it? What does IE7 use with that many tabs open? (not that I'll ever switch to IE)

Mweh... maybe it needs some potty training? :D

Hope they fix it soon, can't do without the tabs, makes things soooo much easier...

try removing some of those plugins. 1.5 always used 100MB+.

when i upgraded to V2, i removed some pluging and it now hardly ever goes over 100MB.

+- 124MB right now. Big deal, makes no difference to me whatsoever.
