Firefox testing built-in VPN

Mozilla announced that it will run an experiment testing an in-browser VPN service with a small group of Firefox users.

The experiment is set to kick off on 24 October, with an offer to purchase a monthly subscription to a VPN service.

So, not so much testing the VPN as testing the business model of selling someone else's service?

@Liam_Selby , can you stop posting incorrect headlines.
This is not a built-in VPN, this is via an extension, therefore in-browser like all the other VPN extensions.
Even the news article states it is downloaded separately.

After signing up for a subscription (billed securely using payment services Stripe and Recurly) they will be able to download and install the VPN software.
