FireFox users - open bookmarks in new tab with this addon

Took me quite a while to find this, not sure why, but maybe used the wrong terms in Google.

Opening bookmarks in a new tab, which is what I always do, was a 2 click operation using FF on the Mac - this addon provides the option to do it with a single click.

The specific problem with FF for Mac, is that if you click the top bookmark menu, and then in the drop down window, try and select a bookmark to open in a new tab, it just doesn't provide that option and opens in the existing tab.
I don't have the scroll wheel button on my Magic Mouse, but I've heard that this doesn't work as described above even with a scroll wheel button - could you explain how this works for you, because I might be getting a new mouse and would then use this.
