Firefox vs. Opera vs. Internet Explorer

The feature I like most in Opera is that the last used tabs and websites are still there when you start it again:)

Tools > options > When firefox starts: choose the one from the drop down list to show tabs and pages from last time.

Easy enough on firefox ;) This is on version 2.0.0.7

I uninstalled all my addons, deleted the profile directory. Nothing worked. Opera is rock solid for me so I am not stressed about going back to Firefox anytime soon. Will try 3 when it finally comes out.

I actually think I have a slight preferences for Opera but the fact that viewing videos with Opera in Linux is an issue means until that is sorted I will continue with FF (actually swiftfox).

FF doesn't have one-click tabs which both Opera and IE have;)

Not sure if you mean opening a new empty tab, or opening a link in a new tab.

To open links in a new tab by default, tools->options->tabs, select the option to open links in a new tab. Or middle click if your mouse supports it (even the cheapest ones do so there's no excuse really).

To open a new empty tab, double click the empty space next to the last tab.

I prefer ctrl+t to open new empty tabs anyway because the first thing that you usually do after opening a new tab is to type in a URL, and straying from the keyboard to the mouse/touchpad consumes more time ;)

When you are using the initial window and want another tab, the double click option doesn't work:confused: But if you already have 2 or more tabs then the double click works.
