firewall and music???

hi all, i have been downloading music thru limewire and everything was fine until windows service pack2 updated to my computer now i cannot connect, is it because of the firewall on the computer as the service i use is peer to peer networking. how do i get pass this. thanks

you probably find SP2 turned on the firewall and is now blocking incoming connections. Now sure how to get around it other than disabling the FW - never been a fan of Windows FW - I have a real FW on my linux server

thanks man i am still learning what to switch on and off when it comes to computer stuff

Will be the FW, will have to allow incomming connection on non standard ports, or switch Off the FW which is never a good Idea if you have no other protection.
