Firewall for Small Business [Urgent]

Im looking for a good Firewall that can run on XP and Server 2003 for a small business/small network.. Not this cheap stuff firewalls! It must filter mail and monitor traffic.. Anyone?
This is urgent!!
 
FreakBoy, u forgot to mention that it requires a degree in nnuclear physics to configure and maintain ;) Ok that was a bit on the extreme side of things, but it is not exactly "user friendly" :P

BTW D@RK ANGEL, what kind of firewall are you looking for? In term of hardware firewall or software firewall?

Smoothwall is user friendly - period.

You install it, and leave it alone to do its work. I use it at my work, and never had any serious issues with it.

Dansguardian (content filtering) will filter out most pr0n sites, and you are able to block access to, for example, news24.co.za or whatever you want the users not to access.

There is also a mod (add-on) for mail filtering which works quite well.

It will also records visits to sites, and bandwidth used per IP adress (when using the Bandview mod).

All the administration is done via a web GUI and not a command-line.

If in Pretoria, I can do the initial installation, setup and training for a fee.

IPCop wil also do the job, same as smoothwall i think, and very powerfull. It also has a nice web gui and runs on an old p1 with 2 eth cards.

Smoothwall, IPCop and ClarkConnect etc are all LINUX based distributions that take up a whole PC. Don't get me wrong, I have used all three and they are very good.

I don't know of anything that will run on windows that does the same as the above.

RRAS comes close.

What about M$ ISA Server?
 
ISA is a nightmare. Server 2003 can do the job, and if you're running it anyway, why not use it? Save yourself that extra PC.

SME 7 also makes an excellent server, with web services, firewall, mailserver and file server all rolled into one. if you want to go Linux, check out www.contribs.org.
 
AAAHhh. I read the installation manual for smoothwall and saw no windows installation guide, thats why i asked. This is gona be a problem.. Dont want to use the pc just as a firewall, it needs to do other things aswell!

Im not running server2003, i just mentioned it for future refrence.
 
Then you can go for SME Server from contribs.org - an all-in-one server. Just install, add IP addies, ADSL account, and usernames, and you're set to go.

No need to do funny stuff.

If you're going to use dynamic DNS services, then use the ddclient to update it as the dynamic dns service in SME v7 is a bit borked.
