I think they're really going to battle to achieve the same atmosphere and grittyness of the 1st 3 movies.
Nothing will come close to the 1st Mad Max.

Yeah; the majority of it was shot last year or the year before in Namib; but they had a break and some post production stuff done as well. Have a friend that worked on the Namib set for a few months.

There was no CGI used in the original Mad Max series which added to the rawness of the film. The new one looks polished. The very first opening shot of this trailer has a CGI lizzard in.

The original director is directing again. Sure he will try to capture the feel of the original ones. There will obviously be some (read: loads of) CGI.
