First full HTC Flyer review?

Nice device, i dont understand why they dont put a thirteen megapixel on the back full hd 1080, just do it already
 
That would be interesting, though I still want to see what someone looks like holding one of these up to take photographs. Better than a 10" tablet, but still...
 
it would be great to film and shoot with if they up the quality, im loving my N8 at the moment just for the camera, i wish it shot 1080 video, i dont think its powerfull enough, soon tablets will have powerful processors and house all the features, everything and some
 
Nice review. I like the ending: "This is a tablet for those that don’t necessarily want the latest features of Android, ... but essentially want something that will work (and) work well".

If I can get this instead of the Galaxy Tab, I definitely will. Here's hoping..
 
At £599.99 for the 32GB it is a bit steep.
It would be interesting to play with thou. I've played with the Galaxy Tab, I also like the 7", plus the Tab can make voice calls, but the price!

I've just read through the Galaxy Tab 10.1v thread, I'm conflicted now.
I like the Flyer and the Tab 7", for their size, but the Tab 10.1v is so tempting at the R399/m price.
 
Yes, that's a huge factor. Not only will it be less intrusive in meetings than a laptop but it's often easier to scribble something down with a pen than to concentrate on a keyboard. Looking forward to this replacing my pen-and-paper arrangements entirely.
 
Any idea if the Flyer will be available on Vodacom? I really think my Desire needs a companion.

Well if I look at this video showing the hac to swap a 7" dell Ice Cream to Ginger display just by changing a dpi setting in a text file I would say chances are high of the flyer getting Ice Cream Sandwich

The price is just way too high. At a time when Notebooks and iPads are cheaper than ever this baffles me.
 
I love the 7" form factor and I agree it's more convenient than an iPad. Lovely screen with high pixel density. However the price should be ±R3300 to entice me considering the iPad 2 starts at R4400.
 
An iPad 2 costs $500 in the states, and it costs R4399 here.
A Flyer costs $500 in the states, and it costs R6260 here - that's almost a thousand dollars! C'mon, we're being shafted.
