First Laptop Ever.

So I bought my first laptop ever. Mainly because leaving a PC at work is no longer safe. I bought a cheap one and it has terrible sound. Is it possible to plug computer speakers into the headphone jack? Or is that a no-no. It has no external speaker jack.

Yes you can.. I have a cable from my laptop headphone socket into an old radio/cassette player that I play the sound from.

I've always used my headphone jack to power speakers if I've needed them.
