Now here is a tip..
The people who do exchanges, always run out of stock this time of year, especially the local garage.

Buy your OWN cylinder. Yes folks, that means it is YOUR gas cylinder, and it will be new, and shiny and not look like its been in some yard for 5 years. But that's not the reason why.

When you have your OWN CYLINDER, you can have it filled at any gas outlet or shop that fills gas cylinders. This has meant that in the last few years I have never had problems getting gas.

I have my own camping cylinder and 2 larger ones for exchange. I find the exchanges far easier than the refills. The last place I used that filled onsite has closed down. I have a secondary shop, but they send it away so I have to drop the cylinder off and come fetch it later that day or the next day. Please provide any filling places you use because I only know of a handful.

While many of the places that just buy and sell the exchange cylinders do run out, there are a lot of them so you can always find one. Also the guys that do the filling also refill the exchange cylinders for people to swap out. I have found them much easier than my own cylinder.

We have gas ovens up here.... for the last week there was no gas..... But yesterday afternoon the contractors started to deliver, so that means the gas is being supplied to the bigger customers.....

I now have two full 46kg bottles, should last me stove for about a year.....
