First student car help

What you are talking about is better service, not the fact that one dealer can "organize" finance better than another.

As for me having a superiority complex, I don't know where you get that from unless you are carrying a log around on your shoulder. I am simply stating fact.

I will be sure to test drive, you you guys reccomend an older Japanese car even if I could get like a 2008 pallio?

think of it like this, would you rather have a 2010 tata indica or a 1999 toyota corolla?

i know what i would choose :D

I would listen to these guys. Don't buy anything French. For 50k I would look at a 2000+ tazz 1.6. Honda's are nice but it will be difficult to find one for 50k that hasn't been modified/raped in some way.

Why stay away from polos?

Because the suggestion was made by an anti VW maniac - of whom you will find many on Mybb....

Nothing wrong with the Polo at all, the anti crowd will tell you that you stand a 99% chance of being hijacked, whilst certain Nissans and many Toyotas have an even worse record. Ignore them!

If you find a decent Polo at a good price buy it! You won't regret it!! :D

I have some experience with vw and in my experience the polo is generally a unreliable POS compared to other vehicles in the same price range. My cousin had a 2003 model for example, after 100000kms he got so fed up with all the repairs and problems he had with the thing he sold it to some poor unsuspecting sod. If your concern is reliability, fuel economy and low maintenance costs you will go Japanese, the Korean models are good as well. Even a corsa lite is a better buy than a polo if you find the right model.

YUP, as I expected, you never had one of your own. It's always a mate or someone you met in a pub who had all the problems.

I have personally had 5 and had no hassles at all. My 2000 Polo Playa now belongs to a friend of mine and he has now pushed it up to over 250 000 with the ONLY things replaced are brake pads and tyres and 1 clutch. It's just had the original clutch changed at 220 000km.

Stop generalizing about cars, because you personally don't like them - the OP is asking for advice based on cars that people have owned, not your biased, subjective feelings.

Ag please, go troll somewhere else. I have never owned a polo and with good reason but have driven quite a few and know many people who have owned one, i have however owned two vws in my time and one was a pos (jetta) while the other was great (gti). Fact is, there is a reason many people see the polo as an unreliable pos, we dont just wake up one morning and decide to dislike a car. Glad you had such fun times with all 5 of your polos though

You call me a Troll???!

I don't come here and say don't drive this or don't drive that. Find a friggin car that you do like, and offer some constructive advice, instead of VW bashing. You and Rouxenator must have a wonderful relationship.

Yes, you started trolling a while back already

Because the suggestion was made by an anti VW maniac

Bottom line here is that op is asking for opinions, i have given him mine and suggested a few vehicles that will suit his purpose. In the mean time all i see you doing is proclaiming "i haz teh best polos!" and calling people who offer an opinion which may disagree with yours "maniacs", to me that is trolling plain and simple ;)

Funny, i actually have not seen a post in this thread where fazda has responded to op

My Mom drives a Polo it is an awesome vehicle. Built solidly. The only thing I would say is that the parts are more expensive than something like A Hyundai.

Oi what u saying Fazda?

would also like to know :p

anyway... its clear fazda is not here to respond to op but rather to pick fights and troll.

whatever makes you happy fazda, each to his own :D

Don't worry, D3x! I was simply pointing out your post to highlight the fact that I wasn't the only one to have noticed that Fader4 is on an Anti VAG troll session in this thread :)
