First time build

Dude you have no idea what he uses and last time i checked no one was holding a gun to his head. He posted here looking for suggestions and that is what we have given him. I recall a thread not so long ago you told someone who didn't have 2k for seinnheiser to buy a headset that hurt their ears and save rather than buy something within their budget now you are saying something totally different.

All you have done is attack everything we say. Give him your advice and let the person choose for themselves bud. I have no idea why you are freaking out so badly. This is an open forum not a forum that only you can dictate what advice is given out and i suggest you realize that as quickly as possible bud.

At the end of the day postman neither me nor you know what he will be using or how many games he will be playing at one time so we gave him the advice and he can decide for himself what he needs.

AMEN!

Again, more, and more, and more, misrepresentation of my opinion to others, because you fail at fully comprehending things people say or reading them in context.

The person was advised to buy a cheap headset in the interim while saving up for R1,500 Sennheiser's, exact same advice others gave in the thread, who own proper headphones/headsets and not gaming junk which you are accustomed to. And for the record the cheap headset I recommended for R150 does not hurt ears due to behind the head design.

Nonsense, I've taken the OP to heart and advised accordingly and been completely balanced, instead of simply dishing out my beliefs on a subject/component in general, something which this thread isn't for.

At the end of the day postman neither me nor you know what he will be using or how many games he will be playing at one time so we gave him the advice and he can decide for himself what he needs.

I'm glad you realise that, because when one reads your posts, it's very clear that you're making assumptions. And we already know assumptions are the mother of all f-ups, which you yourself stated, and were funnily enough guilty of yourself. As I understand it, this happens on numerous occasions, so I'm not at all surprised.

/fetches popcorn

Well, as far as defending my own position, am I wrong about what I'm explaining in my posts? Please, after reading the entire thread, would love to hear someone other than Killa calling me wrong, and why.

Actually it was bruce willis who said assumptions are the mother of all F ups, i cannot take credit for that as it would be wrong.

The person was advised to buy a cheap headset in the interim while saving up for R1,500 Sennheiser's, exact same advice others gave in the thread.

The person was advised to buy a cheap HDD in the interim while saving up for R1,500 SSD, exact same advice others gave in the thread,

Hmmm, i dunno if it's just me but that seems very similar with a couple minor changes. Yet you are freaking out because we gave the same advice you gave someone . Remember it is advice, there is no force going on here just some comments on a forum. Promise we won't lock him in a room until he bows down to our greatness.

Postman this is not about who is right or wrong bud, we all give our opinions, we don't sit attacking each other trying to prove who is right and who is wrong. Eish wena

I completely agree with you about the point you raise out of the slight similarity, and there is no question that I would advocate saving for a larger capacity SSD if it's needed instead of "just getting a cheap one." I have mentioned this several times, and maintained it in my position.

Please note I have not once advocated Kingston entry SSD (not that there's anything wrong with Kingston, excellent brand), or 64GB as a capacity, or said they are better than higher end Corsair/OCZ/etc. SSDs. You misrepresented me as saying this, which is wrong of you. Please do not do this. Note that I have advised based on budget.

Well when you say to any Tom Dick or Harry that they simply must not get a 64GB SSD, and that it is a lolworthy joke, then there is a lot wrong with that as it fails to take account of Tom Dick or Harry's own circumstances and budget and needs. It's important to point this out to you.

I know dude, who would have thought on a friday people would freak out over a few people's opinions. It's a day of great happiness.

It's chilled :D

It's more to do with the way opinions are voiced, and if they are based on the OP and their needs and budget or not. When they aren't, I'll call it out.

Thanks for understanding and even apologising, very mature of you and I'm sure there are many who get frustrated by your trolling that would appreciate it.

Dude LOL. I am glad you are chilled as it's friday so be happy. Nothing worse than going into the weekend in a foul depressed mood :D, Look around and see the amazing things life has to offer. That always lifts me and makes me realize life is way too amazing to be angry and upset all the time.

I've got no clue what you're talking about, the fingers you're pointing, assumptions you're making, equating a certain position with being in a depressed foul mood, etc.

Basically this is just more and more of the same trolling, over and over. Carry on if you want the thread closed, like I said if you want to bark up my tree in a field of blissful happiness, I will drop large fruits on your kop.

Eish. Killa and PP should just go out this weekend and have a lekker braai and beers. You are depressing me.

STOP MOANING and de-railing this oke's thread.

If you okes want a poop-slinging contest start your own thread about it.

Back to the SSD:
To air my honest opinion: I would also advise to rather get a bigger SSD later, unless you're dead sure you'll be happy with only having 25-35GB available for apps and games.

REASON:
Windows should be allocated 30GB, so that leaves you with 30GB for apps.
So for R1600 you get 30GB useable space, where-as R2200 will get you 90GB useable space, so for 40% extra you get 300% extra useable space.
