I need to buy a car soon. I have a budget of R150k. I have been looking at different cars at cars.co.za, with the budget I have I saw many cars that I liked. I was then told that the prices in that site cannot be trusted. I have been looking at autotrader recently, I wish to know if the prices displayed there are correct or not?

Not sure what you mean, phone the seller, confirm the price, go look at the car and buy it if it all checks out.

Most of those sites the prices are accurate, just be careful of dealers that try add on R5k odd for "handling fees" and only tell you about it just before you sign on the dotted line. If it's a dealer ask what the all inclusive price is, fees included.

Tell us what car tickles your fancy, and we'll tell you the pros and cons , as well as how much the car is worth.

I have seen second hand ones going for R200k. I would not mind adding R50k to the budget that I have. Its polo tsi 1.2

Which one, trendline, comfortline, etc, the trendline goes for about R229k brand new, unless you are looking at a higher specced model in the second hand market.

But repair costs down the line would mean it's not a choice, well I wouldn't personally

Did you know that these days you can easily pick up parts for your Renault at your local Goldwagen? things are no longer how they used to be.

As for repair costs down the line, is there any car which you can buy where you don't have to worry about that?
