Not sure if I'm in the right place but I hope I am.
Lately I've been traveling a bit and I'm liking it. I now fell like I should see some places outside the continent.
My question is, when it comes to countries that require visas, is there a specific amount you have to earn, or have in your account/savings or even maybe how much debt you're in?
Any help or advice is appreciated.

This varies by country, so will need to check what the requirement is from the various agencies the visa is processed through.

You will never see anything specific. They just wanna make sure you have the means to cover the whole duration of your stay. If you have a sponsor on the other side then you might not even have to produce financial proof. All depends on the country.

They usually are about how much you need per day, at least for all Schengen visas I have applied for.

You need to be fully vaccinated to cross international borders

One thing you might take note of, dispite all the negativity of the South African passport, we're only about halfway down the list of best passports for visa-free access. There are many places we can travel visa-free, and even more where visa on arrival is a matter of filling in a form, and handing it over with your passport and a small fee.

Yeah. Every third world shithole will welcome you with open arms.

We're so lucky we can travel to Russia visa-free. I hear it's fantastic at the moment.

Last time I checked, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Israel, Qatar etc were not 3rd world shitholes
I just bing your waffle at random.
First motherfucking result.

South Africans must obtain and travel with a visa; otherwise, they will be turned back at the airport and not allowed into South Korea

****ing hell man at least make it a challenge.

I've just been to South Korea. South Korea has an online-authorisation form you complete before arrival, called Electronic Korea Travel Authorization (K-ETA). Call it "E-Visa" if you want - it's no different from the visa on arrival, and doesn't have all the requirements that, e.g. Schengen visa or US visa has. Japan is similar. Singapore, Israel & Qatar (at least, last time I was there), you just show up. Try again.
