Fish Hoek internet problems for over a WEEK now..

Fish Hoek internet issues for over a week...

Telkom don't even acknowledge there is problem..

What needs to be done to wake these people up?

Anyone on these forums know a Telkom employee who could make them understand?? It's pointless dialing 10210 because nobody there knows anything!

A few ways you can approach this:

1) Pretend you already logged the issue and you're just checking up on the status
2) With (1) make sure you don't mention your ADSL line, but the exchange. As soon as they hear "your ADSL" they'll go into "user debug mode" and assume the problem is on your end.
3) and this is probably the most EFFECTIVE way to get help. Refuse to speak English, speak only Afrikaans and/or ask to be put through to someone who speaks Afrikaans. For some reason, a person who can speak/read/write Afrikaans has a better grip on what your problem is and would solve your problem instead of rattling off some pre-written script about how you should reset your modem.

The afrikaans thing is a fantastic idea! I'm going to be using that trick from now on :)
