haha... they don't serve it here much... but I think I would love anchovies on my pizza... same thing as fish paste on toast.

This is a massively bad idea (anecdotal scare story). I was on a contract in CT. I ordered an ‘anchovy pizza’ through Mr. Delivery. I got food poisoning (sick for 2 days). Anchovies go off quickly. I haven’t eaten them since.
 
Then why don't you patent a beef paste. You can make lots of money.

We call it Bovril. Although that is an extract and not necessarily a paste/pate. You'll have major issues getting a beef-paste texture correct without damaging the flavours. You'd have to cook it slowly and for a very long time to completely denature the protein strands...

Anchovies on pizza is a disgusting practice imo. Whoever came up with the idea deserves to be shot, repeatedly and then have his heart removed for good measure...

Okay, I'll bite.

Tell me more...

This is the simplest/quickest bread you will make.
500g Self raising flour
350ml Buttermilk
1 packet brown onion soup (optional)

Preheat oven to 180C
Mix flour & brown onion soup together in bowl, make hollow in flour and add buttermilk. Get your hands/fingers in there and mix properly, this is a sticky business. Once mixed sprinkle some flour on a work surface and plonk dough down, sprinkle with flour so it does not stick.
Add to bread tin and pop in oven for 45-60min, check dough with a spike or something to see if it is ready, if you pull the spike out and nothing sticks to it it's ready but I just let it go for an hour. No need to let the dough rise or needing of it.

This is a heavy/moist bread but starts drying after the first day which is when you slice it thinly and toast it till nice and crisp. Spread lurpac or butter and whatever else you enjoy! Usually make it for braais & potjies as well. We have also gone totally whacky on this and added things like cheese, coctail tomatoes, bacon etc

Weird thing is I saw this very same recipe on Roer!/Kyknet while skipping channels last week.

I love anchovies on pizza! It is delicious. With capers and feta cheese. Yum.
