Saw it on takealot as well, but you should maybe wait until the Surge HR arrives here...

Will be a bit more, but will have a heart rate monitor. And if I'm not mistaken, caller id.

The Surge has a heart rate monitor.

I think you're confusing it with the "Charge" and "Charge HR"
 
I've just got the Fitbit Charge HR from zastore.
If you're a student, you get a 15% discount.
It cost R1955.

Yea, I am keen on the Charge HR but also at an ebucks vendor. It seems they are only officially launched on the 18th of Feb, so I am hoping they will be more readily available after then. And I so want the plum color.

Takealot has the Charge HR in stock and in case you havnt used them they are ebucks friendly, friend of mine got hers yesterday and mine arrives on Monday. Lovely device.

Edit: It seems people are swapping surge and charge terms around in here. Surge = one with full watch sized face. Charge = band size. Big difference in price and features between the two.

Thank you, i've stickied it. Will wait and see if Makro gets it soon as they do have some of the other fitbit ones. Then I can get a discount :D

and Makro have some, but only at selected branches and only in black...
 
I'm very interested in one. Can you please provide some feedback especially on the HR function, comfort and battery life.

For that kind of money, won't the Microsoft Band be nicer?

EDIT: Actually it should be cheaper than the surge.
