Any of you guys using fitness bands? Which ones, and what are the positives / negatives.

I don't see the point in wearing them during the day. It won't help me in any way as I cannot change the fact that I'm on my arse for 8 hours a day (office job).
I have a Garmin Forerunner 210 for when I gym or go running/cycling, which is awesome.

Any idea which do provide this additional info?Looked into the bands but the Fitbit doesn't have an accelerometer to let you know if your walking up stairs or just walking down the road. Different amounts of effort.
Still a good buy if your looking for something to motivate you and like Rocket-boy said if you use all phone app and plugins to other applications for fitness, you'll get your monies worth.
