Fix bricked htc dream

Any1 know who's be able to fix a bricked htc dream in CT? Bricked while trying to load a custom rom. Flashed the wrong radio version

Put it in the bin...

You can unbrick a NAS. But a phone.... unless you can access that eeprom. its a paper weight

Whats the chances they pick that up if i send it in for warranty repairs?

I bricked a NAS but opened it and voided the warranty. Best just to send that one in.

Gonna do that, but will check what the local repair shop will charge. Don't wanna find out that I have to pay an arm and leg at leaf for the repair if they found out i voided the warranty

otherwise you gonna have to make a JTAG interface.

That way isn't gonna work. Cant access fastboot nor recovery. JTAG is the only way but i dont have the time to make one.

you need more than a jtag adapter, you need a jtag BOX as well. can't "make" one of those. anyway, i doubt whether leaf will be able to pick what specifically is wrong with it. They won't be able to actually read the eprom and say, "oh, I SEE!!!!!!!". a local repair guy won't be able to do anything to it unless he has a JTAG box and adaptor to access that specific phone's connection points (unlikely). send it back to leaf/mtn/vodacom and see what happens.
