So....

I have one of these.

it has three color options

1. Light white
2. Yellow
3. 1+2

The above would change with the remotes on and off switch cycling through the options.

I typically used 3.

This evening 1 decided not to work so im stuck on 2 - yellow....

Any idea how to fix this, replace entire strip?

I have no idea what to do but yellow light is going to drive me mad.

Happy to replace this with a better light strip option but not sure where to start...

I think just replace the LED strip.

I would start with checking if the strip is AC 220V or DC 12V (or whatever voltage) and then look for that in stores. My guess it's 12V, looks like there is a converter there before the strip

Rather get a normal white strip 60 or 120 led/m and the corner connectors so if one part dies in future it will be easy to replace. I wouldnt bother putting the yellow back

Which stores sell the strips..

Im fine leaving the yellow and having one color. It is a 4 pin from the led output

Thanks

That's an odd output voltage. That's a first I've ever seen that. Not sure where you can get that.

Maybe remove that and go straight to 220V. I know futurelight has 220V led strips.

That's not really that odd. And don't go straight to 220V, those LEDs need current limiting, they are not the type of strip with resistors on.

Please link OP with a LED strip that is rated for that voltage

I suggested to remove the LED strip (since its broken) and the converter. And get a proper 220V strip. Something like this minus the IP65 rating. What would be the issue there?

thanks would appreciate that.

Decided to work like normal this morning >_< but good to know for the future :)

Fitted this exact fan for client the other day. Sure this is just a chinese import and you not going to get any parts for it
If you remove/replace anything, whats the chance that remote will still be working? And thus rendering the whole fan useless if its not working anymore

Maybe the fault was on your remote unit. The 4 wires will one pair for yellow and another for white. I am sure your remote controls the fan and the leds. First look at the remote for any problem

Lights all working again.

Seller recommended getting this if it stopped working
