So for some odd reason my Redmi-Go has a deep scratch on the screen.

I've tried the Toothpaste, Baking Soda, Baby Powder methods on another similar screen in the past, but it never works.

Do you possibly know of a quick fix solution that doesn't involve replacing the screen itself?

The scratch is deep and visible when the screen is off. When it's on, it depends on the colour displayed to be able to see it.

Thanks for any advice.

Your best bet would be to get some sort of liquid 'filler' that you could level the screen with again and fill in the deep gouges, and then apply a screen protector to keep it in place and prevent it from wearing off with use

I have been through the same thing, and in the end after trying many things, I have just come to terms with it. Once it's done, it's done.

One thing you can try is put on a screen protector. I scratched my watch quite badly, got a protector afterwards, and popped it on. Now I don't even notice the scratch anymore. The same may work for phones. I used a tempered glass protector, not sure if a plastic one will do the same thing, or if it'll work for you at all.

You can't without replacing the screen, you could try the screen protector route.

Thanks for the replies :)
Google isn't much help.
I agree living with it is the only option until I get a screen protector.

Some feedback.

I took some Car Wax/Shampoo and a shammy and buffed the screen.
The scratch is still visible, but with the clean screen and the shine it has now, it's not bothering me anymore :)

I would definitely recommend a screen protector. The tempered glass ones are nice but I find that they're very fragile and will crack if you look at them wrong. I went through about 3 of them on my last phone and eventually gave up and put on a plastic one which held up pretty well honestly.

Got a new phone and gone back to a tempered glass, will see how long this one holds out.

The glass screen protector on my BIG Mi Max 3 is now 2 and a half years old and it still hasn't cracked.

Sure, I look after my stuff, but it has had some knocks over the past 30-odd months.

Not a home DIY solution, but some companies can remove scratches for you...

cerium oxide should do the trick. I got some in a liquid suspension years ago from an optical lab to polish glass & plastic with. You are gonna need a small orbital polisher and pad though because it's gonna take a long long time by hand... and your coating will be gone.

I was always very eager to peal off the screen protector when I got a new phone, especially when Gorilla Glass became popular. Took a long time before sufficient scratches formed that it annoyed me, by then I'd be replacing the device anyway.

Last phone I got I just kept it on, pretty its been almost a year and still decent looking, will replace it rather than removing it this time.

Seems a bit expensive:
Don't know the above site, or if it's legit.

The car wax did work a bit, but I think a screen protector would be cheaper.

Try an optical lab or chemical supplier. The lab I asked gave me a bottle for mahala even though I offered to pay.

Cool. Thanks for the suggestion. One of my friends is an optometrist. I'll ask her if she can organise some for me.
