Hi, so i was looking at getting 10+10 package through axxxess https://www.axxess.co.za/mobile/telkom-fixed-lte
I would like to know if it could be used with my 4G enabled phone or does it only work with a router? Also I have a small 3G ZTE pocket router , i assume it wont work with that? as it will only connect to 4G network

i did see this "No need to buy a new LTE router. You can order the SIM Only and use your own LTE compatible device." but just wanted to confirm

It should work. Just make sure your device supports the 2300 LTE band

I'm sure Axxess lock you to a specific tower. :)

Edit: Nevermind it works the same as Telkom. :)

You also mentioned you can ask telkom to activate voice? Do i just phone them?

These Telkom simcard sold by Axxess, Afrihost and Webafrica amounghts others do not offer voice. These are basically month to month contract taken out on the respective ISP business name and Telkom probably gives them some sort of bulk sale discount. That means they disabled voice, topups and other related services you get when you get the simcard directly from Telkom.

They have set the spend limit to R0 and use an API from their website to increase the spend limit and topup once you buy a topup on the respective ISP website.

These simcards work on 4G (2300MHz), 4G (1800MHz), 4G (2100MHz) and Telkom Mobile network 3G. These simcards do not allow Telkom -R roaming with Vodacom. These simcards do not allow you to recharge them manually with a voucher or a credit card. These simcards are not device locked or tower locked so they can be moved around.

That's the just about them. Very decent deals as they essentially give you access to Telkoms contract prices but at a month to month rate with an ISP without the need to perform credit checks. :)
