Hi guys,

Need your help, I need to find somewhere to fix my girlfriends car, Power Steering to be exact.

Car: 1998, Toyota Corolla 160 GLE (Air Con, Power Steering)

Issue: There's a leak in the power steering (How do I know? A mechanic told us a year ago but it wasn't that bad, the leak has got worse)

Does anyone know a place to get it fixed, around the Johannesbeurg area?

The quote we got a year ago was ~R7000:cry:

Do you know where exactly it is leaking?

R7000 sounds like buttrape without vaseline.

I know, insane price.

About the leak, I'm not sure.

I got a quote for:

Re-con Steering Rack - R2600
or
Pump - R1900.

I just want to get rough price then I'll get the quote.

Steering & Suspension Fitment Centre in Randburg (on Jan Smuts) does a good job. Sorted my '95 Corolla out for about R2k. They recon'd the pump and replaced all seals. Still going strong...no leaks.

Can you give me the contact number or pm me. Thanks dude

Most of the places I contacted only work on weekdays.

Not sure if they trust that place, took my Polo in there for a new steering rack, they charged R4000 for a refurbished one, then my pump is going and they like it's around R7000 for a refurb pump. Go to VW and it's R11 000 for both brand new out of the box?
