Fixing side mirror

So this weekend while in a hurry, I backed up to fast and accidetally knocked off my passenger side mirror. Anyway I'm trying to get it fixed now and so far I got a quote of R1400 excluding painting.

On average, was is the cost to fix it?
I drive a Kia rio 2012 model.

What exactly does the damage entail?

Mirror housing broking only?
Mirror housing & internals broken?
Mirror housing, internals broken & damage to car body/paint?

If it's only the housing or housing & internals I would shop around at second hand places for a replacement in the same colour and swap it myself.
