Flank steaks

seems one does not get these in south africa.
however, the cut is commonly used in argentinian parillas, and is as tender as can be.

any idea as to why flank steaks are generally not available here ?
 
Our cows don't have flanks, obviously.

Maybe you can look for hanger steak. I have never tried flank, but as far as i know the taste is quite close and hanger been even better.
Personally i still prefer my rib-eye yeah.
