Can anybody point me in the right direction for what software to use for creating cool flash advertisement's
It should be really powerful yet very simple for a beginner.

Take a look at XARA, they do some really easy to use, yet powerful graphics program. Their flag ship product, which name I can't remember, maybe xara pro or xara xtreme, does do flash.. http://za24.in/SWV8Q6
